CFA Common Formative Assessment ALL students are tested in Math, Science, and Reading each quarter. Results count 20% of child’s quarter grade! (more than a normal test grade) CFA objectives taught throughout the quarter.

Aspire Tests Aspire is administered in April (Reading, Math and Language Arts.) Attendance is EXTREMELY important during these tests. Parent/Teacher Conferences

A.R. What is Accelerated Reader? A.R. is a computerized learning information system. The students take a STAR Reading test at the beginning of the school year. The STAR reading reports give us teachers valuable information on student’s reading practice and literacy skills development. STAR reading results determine the range of books that will challenge the student without frustration or loss of motivation.

A.R. The students read an AR book, then logs into the AR program to take a quiz for that book. The student answers between 5 and 20 questions on the book. The student receives points towards their goal for every book they read. The goal is to have every child meet their AR goal by the end of the quarter. (100%)

How can parents help with A.R.? -Make sure he/she is reading every night. -Allow your child to read his/her book to you. -Ask questions about what he/she is reading!

Math Facts Your child is responsible for knowing their multiplication and division facts for mastery. They will be tested weekly and quarterly in the classroom.

BYOD -Students are allowed to bring a personal device to school for the purpose of learning. Note: Cell phones are not considered “Personal Devices” for BYOD at Leinkauf. NO CELLPHONES ARE ALLOWED!
