#31 Who is More Heroic? Get enough half sheets for your group. Tape this into notebook. Consider the scenarios. Which individuals stand out as heroes to you?  Using the numbers 1 through 10, label each individual according to their heroism in comparison to the others.  The number 1, in this case, would be used to represent the least heroic individual, while 10, on the other hand, would be used to represent the most heroic individual.  There can be no “ties,” meaning that each number can only be used once. Under (or beside) the half sheet, explain your top two heroes . . . Why did you rank them “most heroic”? (50 words)

English 9b, Day 13 * Tues/Wed Bell Ringer #32 Works Cited Corrections Get enough ¼ sheets for your group. Tape this into notebook. Find 6+ things wrong on the Works Cited ¼ sheet. then . . . open your self-selected book and read!!!!

Iliad Pronunciations Iliad Odyssey Odysseus (his Greek name) Ulysses (his Roman name)

In Medias Res The advantage of starting a story in the middle, or even at the end, and then doubling back to the same point is the ability to hook the audience immediately, without any exposition, plopping him down right in the middle of the action. Some of the earliest uses of in medias res are still the most formidable. The Odyssey starts with most of Odysseus' journey already finished. The story up to that point is then told through flashbacks as we learn about all the fantastic characters he met along the way.

Here is where the story starts!!!
