Food Recovery Network E-board member: Linsey House Package left over food in dining hall to give to local homeless shelter Wednesdays Beginning next Wednesday, Nov. 4th 7:30pm (count as 1-2 hours) Foodservice experience Need 3-5 people each Wednesday

Regional Farmer’s Market E-board member: Mariana Hiotis Make recipe from food at Regional Farmer’s Market and hand out sample Create topic/ theme with other people who are volunteering – make trifold Theme: Thanksgiving? Project Leader opportunity November 14th About 9-1pm 4 volunteers needed If goes well- will have future events at Regional Farmer’s Market

Send to: realcoss@syr.edu Friday Food For Thought: Students send in a photo of a nutritious meal they have created, including the ingredients, preparation, and name of the creation and they will be featured on our Instagram and facebook! Dining Hall Creations: For students who use the dining halls on campus to come up with creative recipes in the dining halls using a variety of healthy ingredients to show people what they can do to make the food in the dining halls more exciting. Recipe Redo: Think of a favorite recipe that is not very healthy (pizza, cookies, etc) and recreate the recipe into something that is more nutritious. Send a picture to me with the recipe included and I will post to Instagram and Facebook. Smart Menu: When eating at restaurants/cafes, it is hard for some people to find a healthy option. If you are eating at a restaurant and come across a nutritious dish/item send us a picture with the description and name of the restaurant to help others when deciding where to go to eat.
