Marvin Hamlisch- Career Started off as a rehearsal Pianist Career as composer really took off in 1965 Composed scores for both films, and Theatre 

Awards Hamlisch Was one of 12 composers to get the collection of awards referred to as “EGOT” (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony awards.) One of 2 composers to get “ PEGOT” , or the Pulitzer, Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony awards the other being Richard Rogers)
