Reagan State of the Union Address 1982 Federalism is a system of government in which entities such as states or provinces share power with a national government Excise taxes are taxes paid when purchases are made on a specific good, such as gasoline Deregulation is the reduction or elimination of government power in a particular industry budget deficit is most commonly used to refer to government spending rather than business or individual spending The private sector is the part of the economy that is not state controlled, and is run by individuals and companies for profit. Jurisdiction is the official power to make legal decisions and judgments
