Where he was born: Andrew Jackson was born in a town called Waxhaw on the border of North and South Carolina. Andrew Jacksons House he lived in as a child

Childhood Jackson was born in South Carolina. His mom raised him by herself and died when he was 14 of cholera. He lost both of his brothers in a war and then was raised by two uncles. He had Private tutors. Age 15 he went back to school to study to become a lawyer in 1787. His father Andrew Jackson died in 1767 the year Jackson was born in. His Mother Elizabeth Hutchinson helped nurse soldiers.

Nullification crisis The Nullification Crisis was a sectional crisis during the presidency of Andrew Jackson created by South Carolina's 1832 Ordinance of Nullification.

Trail of tears The Cherokee nation was forced to give up its lands east of the Mississippi River and to migrate to an area in present-day Oklahoma.

Treatment of Cherokee Indians The treatment on the Indians were horrifying. Many Indians died very few survived the long walk to Oklahoma. Some Indians had horses while many had to walk.

Discrimination by Jackson He hated any kind of race except white’s. That’s what started the Indian Removal in 1830.
