Raskolnikov (Rodya) The protagonist of the novel Main conflict occurs when he kills Alyona and Lizaveta Ivonovna Is the mind behind the “superman” theory Is sick throughout the novel Is a dynamic character as he changes throught the novel

Razumikhin Rodya’s best friend and foil character as he is the calming influence to Rodya’s constant paranoia Flat character as he stays the same Marries Rodya’s sister at the end of the book

Sonia Marmeladov’s daughter Must prostitute herself against her will to support herself and the rest of her family Also a foil to Rodya due to her faith in Christ throughout and her ability to change him Flat character
