Guiding Coalition Purpose: Shape an organization of performance management experts dedicated to improving the efficiency and effectiveness of state and local education agencies so that the quality of services to students is optimized.
Guiding Coalition Tasks: Conduct a self-assessment around the use of performance management practices Participate in virtual professional development experiences to gain additional expertise in performance management methods Explore ideas for state-specific projects for piloting the use of performance management in the 2016-2017 school year Share your ideas with colleagues and provide input into a groundbreaking new publication on the use of performance management in education Determine next steps in creating the organization (e.g., bylaws, sponsor/partnerships, calendar for 2016-17 academic year)
