CLASS RULES/CONSEQUENCES Ms. Ford is in control at ALL TIMES. I do not play games, I do not tolerate disrespectful students. Show respect to yourself and others everyday. If you are tardy, you will NOT be admitted into class without an official note from your grade appropriate office. After your third tardy, your parents will be called! 4. You will be written up after every 5 tardies. When this happens, you will receive a suspension and/or parent conference. 5. YOUR ATTENDANCE HAS A SIGNIFICANT EFFECT ON YOUR GRADE!!!

CLASS RULES/CONSEQUENCES (CONT’D) 6. If you choose not to do your work, please know that your parents will be immediately called. Your work will be taken up on the spot, graded, and recorded. You will also receive a zero on each section of that day’s assignment. You will also be written up!

RESTROOM POLICY 1. NO ONE LEAVES THE FIRST 15 MINUTES, OR THE LAST 15 MINUTES!!! 2. No ask restroom policy. 3. Get the hall pass and go. You have 3 minutes. 4. If you take longer than 3 minutes, you’ll get a warning. If it happens again, I will take your restroom privilege until the next nine weeks AND write you up for class cutting.

RESTROOM POLICY (cont’d) 5. Only 3 people are allowed to go from each class, each day. If you go after the 3rd person, I will write you up for class cutting, and take your privilege until the next nine weeks. 6. Do not abuse your restroom privilege. You should not have to go every day. If this happens, I will permanently take away your restroom privileges. 7. If the class cannot respect the restroom policy as a whole, I reduce it to one person per day. 8. It will be each class’ responsibility to keep track of who leaves for the restroom.

TUTEAR (TUTORING) If you feel that you need tutoring, I am here for you. PLEASE see me as soon as you feel the need to. Thursdays: 2:30-3:30 You MUST be seated in the auditorium at or before 2:30 p.m. You will NOT be allowed to attend tutoring if you arrive after 2:30.

TIGER TUTORIAL TIME (T3) If you fail this course, at the end of the quarter, You will be placed in T3. T3 is a mandatory after school session that is held on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 2:30-4:30. If you complete my work in T3, and it meets my satisfaction, I will change your failing grade from anywhere from 70-80. If you do not complete my work in T3, and it does not meet my satisfaction, your F will remain an F. If you do not attend T3, you and your parents will be issued a suspension, and you and your parents will have to meet with Dr. Hunter.

THE REFERRAL LIST If you are issued a suspension/Parent Conference, your name goes on “THE LIST” 2. I check the list EVERYDAY. 3. If your name is on the list, you will NOT be allowed into class without PAPERWORK from the office.

ABSENCES 1. When you are absent, it is YOUR responsibility to get the agenda from that day for your make-up work. The agendas will be posted on my Weebly page. (mslford.weebly.com) 2. Failure to turn in your make-up work within 3 days will result in zeros. 3. If your absences become a habit, I will be writing you up for TRUANCY! 4. You are allowed to bring 3 notes from home each quarter.

A.C.T. Q.O.D. The VERY first thing that you should do when you enter this class is the A.C.T. Q.O.D. The Q.O.D. will be waiting for you on the screen EVERYDAY!!! Copy what you see on the screen, the sentence and the correct answer. Afterwards, answer the question at the bottom. You will have a different Q.O.D. every day this year. They must be completed in blue or black ink and they must be numbered and dated. Periodically, I will do a Q.O.D. check. If you can produce the number that I ask you for, you will be rewarded with bonus points and/or passes. If you do NOT complete your Q.O.D.s, your grade will suffer. After completing your Q.O.D., fall into work mode and set-up your paper for your daily assignments. Sometimes, I will use your Q.O.D. as your weekly quiz grade!!!!!!!!!

PASSES!!! You will have an opportunity to earn many, many passes this year. Passes are little certificates that you will earn for good character, hard work, good participation, high quiz scores, helping me, etc. You will use your passes to rent a binder, for snacks and drinks, and for other things. If you lose your passes, TOO BAD!!! If this happens, NO ONE ELSE CAN USE THEM!!! PLEASE KEEP UP WITH THEM! IF LOST, THEY WILL NOT BE REPLACED!!!
