Monday, August 29, 2016 Russia’s Natural Resources • Use page 462 in your book or you may use your device to describe the different types of natural resources in Russia. (Natural Resources=Nature)

Russia’s Natural Resources The mineral-packed Ural Mountains and the vast oil, gas, coal, and timber reserves of Siberia and the Russian Far East make Russia rich in natural resources, which dominate Russian exports. Oil and gas exports, specifically, continue to be the main source of hard currency.

Russia’s Natural Resources Russia has huge forest (timber) along with many sources of energy & minerals. Even though Russia has vast amounts of oil and coal these resources have been poorly managed & controlled by Russia’s government. Siberia has not been explored to its full potential.
