Division 22 Report to the Community January 25, 2017

Division 22 Required to provide a report to the Oregon Department of Education by February 15, 2017. Part of Division 22- requirement that also reported to the community by January 15. Due to snow days, posted initial information online and sent through public listserv.

District Curriculum: Science PPS is making marked progress to move all grade levels K-12 into alignment with 2014 standards. Team creating curricular guides for all K-5 teachers Middle grades will complete this year High School will begin implementation of a new core science sequence in 2017-18

Social Studies Social Studies TOSA for 2016-17 and we have identified and publicized K-12 standards-aligned resources. On track for compliance by June 2018.

Health ODE is releasing new standards in early 2017 For 2016-17, PPS hired a TOSA With new standards, will create web-based instructional materials High School health classes are aligned with current standards

Physical Education A K-12 PE standards group will be convening in February to do a curriculum alignment

Programs and Services for Talented and Gifted Students Office of Teaching and Learning is currently updating K-12 Continuum of Program and Services- first rendition by March 1
