However, engaging resident physicians in covering local sporting events can be challenging. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of two specific interventions in improving resident confidence and level of participation in covering sporting events at a full-spectrum family medicine residency. Many residents feel a responsibility to provide local sporting event coverage and believe this provides valuable exposure for family medicine in the community.
