WP3 Local Control and Automation Hub, Peter Rosengren, Ulf Wingstedt, Peter Kool

WP3 Objectives Specify middleware architecture Develop WSN interfaces for data extraction from sensors. Define the INERTIA energy ontology Define external protocols for exporting data from local gateway/hub Develop device managers for use in pilot Develop prototype for semantic middleware Develop occupancy flow matching algorithms

Tasks T3.1 Inertia Semantic Middleware Specification T3.2 DER Device Managers T3.3 Inertia Ontology, Inference Rules & Semantic Devices T3.4 Multi-Sensoral Activity Flow Detection & Modeling in controlled environments T3.5 Ambient and personalised UI & User profiling mechanism

T3.2 DER Device Managers M6-M18 Partners: CNet (7), ENG (4), Tecnalia(4), Indesit (5) Develop device managers (IoT Devices, semantic components) for sensors/devices to be used in pilot Extend the LinkSmart DDK with new types of sensors and DERs Extend WS interface and provide RESTful interface

T3.2 Subtasks Provide reference LinkSmart implementations for the following devices and frameworks EnOcean family of sensors and actuators Building Management System via OPC Plugwise family of energy metering units INDESIT Dishwasher via ZigBee CERTH occupancy detection TECNALIA physical/virtual DER components

T3.2 Progress this period EnOcean family of sensors and actuators Ready for deployment with an initial set of environmental sensors and switches. Building Management System via OPC Implementation started. OPC software installed at CERTH with remote access available. Plugwise family of energy metering units Ready for deployment. INDESIT Dishwasher via ZigBee Initial verification of hardware/software and communication completed. CERTH occupancy detection Not started. TECNALIA physical/virtual DER components

T3.2 Next steps EnOcean family of sensors and actuators Testing with dimmer and light sensor (CNET) Building Management System via OPC Finalize IoTDevice development for OPC Client (CNET) Plugwise family of energy metering units No further work planned. INDESIT Dishwasher via ZigBee Finalize IoTDevice development (CNET, INDESIT) CERTH occupancy detection Verification of requirements and options for integration (CNET) Investigate possibility for additional integration with existing Alarm System (CNet) TECNALIA physical/virtual DER components Definition of required DER components within the CERTH pilot (TECNALIA) Verification of requirements and options for integration (TECNALIA, CNET) Overall: Refine and define final information models for DERs

Deliverables D3.1 Semantic Middleware Architecture and INERTIA Ontology Specification, M12, CNet D3.2 Semantic Devices & Device Managers Specification and Ontology update, M18, TUK D3.3 Ambient User Interfaces, User Behavioural Profiling and Activity Flow Framework, M24, Hypertech

WP3 Issues Suggestion to move D3.2 to M24 T3.3 reports to D3.2, TUK is responsible for D3.2 and task leder for T3.3 Suggestion to move T3.2 deadline to M24 T3.2 reports in D3.2 All work cannot not likely be finalized before end of March. Role of ENG in T3.2 is not clear due to ENEL leaving the project.
