The program A dental hygienist needs to graduate from an accredited school. Most dental hygienist programs grant associate's degrees, but some offer bachelor's and master's degrees. Training requires anywhere from 2-3 years of school, including prerequisites and any licensing examinations. A dental hygienist needs to graduate from an accredited school. Most dental hygienist programs grant associate's degrees, but some offer bachelor's and master's degrees. Training requires anywhere from 2-3 years of school, including prerequisites and any licensing examinations.

what to take to complete To work as a dental hygienist in a private dental office typically requires an associate's degree, though a certificate may be accepted in some cases. In order to go into research, public health or teaching, dental hygienists usually need to hold bachelor's or master's degrees.

The cost Total cost of the program is $36,800 (18.5 months). The average monthly fee is approximately $1,650/month.

selections Dental hygienists receive their education through academic programs at community colleges, technical colleges, dental schools or universities. The majority of community college programs take at least two years to complete, with graduates receiving associate degrees. Receipt of this degree allows a hygienist to take licensure examinations (national and state or regional), become licensed and to work in a dental office.

What I thought… I think I’m good with people and keeping them healthy This is something I wanted to do because my aunt was a dental hygiene and she did not regret taking time to become one I enjoy helping others and leading them into the right place
