WHAT IS AN ATTITUDE? State of mind. Your attitude is your mind set. The way you look at things mentally. Attitudes are evaluative statements. They indicate ones feelings either favorable or unfavorable.

HOW ATTITUDE IS AN EVALUATIVE STATEMENT? It reflects how one feels about something. For e.g.- - I like social networking. - I don't want to work here. - life is very complex.

WHY POSITIVE ATTITUDE? Increases productivity. Fosters team work. Solves problems. Improves quality. Makes a congenial atmosphere. Increases profits. Reduces stress.

CONSEQUENCES OF PESSIMISM Bitterness. Resentment. Purposeless life. Ill health. High levels of stress.

STEPS FOR BUILDING POSITIVE ATTITUDE 1- Make a habit of doing it now. Stop being procrastinate. 2- Develop an attitude of gratitude. 3- Build a positive self – esteem. 4- Stay away from negative people. 5- learn to like the things which need to be done. 6- Start your day with positive thought.
