Learning By Doing Model Easier with some courses, essential in all courses

When I listen to myself…I learn about my beliefs: LBD: my first student award 1st day intro: Love / Hate
As academics, we spend a lot of time talking about things like classroom-instruction techniques, designing effective research assignments, teaching information literacy, using digital tools — the list goes on and on, yet exams seem to be something we take for granted. And then we end up testing as we were tested, in ways that may or may not align with the actual goals we have the course.
Question: What was your last assessment? Do you enjoy assessment?
One Day I needed to assess my student’s ability to use, lights and camera in 2nd year video production class “Demonstrate technical skills by using production equipment for the shooting of a short video production.”
If we assess in pieces, do they really appreciate the end game? Little fun for them because the real essence of production is the end product.
