Mr. Dennis Shows Honors and AP Chemistry Teacher Welcome Parents! Mr. Dennis Shows Honors and AP Chemistry Teacher

Emails and Progress Reports I will send progress reports about every four weeks. If you do not get a grade report by the end of next week please email me at dennisshows@lbsdk12.com

Chemistry Chemistry is the study of matter and the changes that it undergoes. A basic understanding of chemistry is central to all sciences – biology, physics, Earth science, ecology, and others.

Student Materials Students are expected to bring to class: Notebook with paper Pencil (0.7 mm preferred) Calculator A classroom set of calculators will be used on each test. You may purchase a graphing or scientific calculator for home. See the syllabus for other materials.

Honors Chemistry Grading Policy Quarter grades are determined on a percentage basis: Test=50% Labs/Quizzes=20% Homework, Class work, & Projects=10%

Chemistry Late Work Policy Late daily homework that we go over in class will not be accepted. Homework is only for completion/effort, not correctness. Daily homework is reviewed in class. Other late assignments (projects and lab reports) lose 10% each day late.
