STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES Creating Common App account Establishing User name and Password Adding Colleges to their list “colleges I'm thinking about “ Apply to all colleges online Clicking “I've Applying to” Once applications are completed go on Naviance and click on application completed then request transcript and recommendation letter from counselors COUNSELOR RESPONSIBILITIES Uploading student transcript, school profile, recommendation letter and any other supporting documents Complete Common App School Report Sending Documents

Naviance has been in existence for eight years and is the leading provider for high schools and colleges across the country for sending and receiving college applications, transcripts and letters of recommendation. It is currently being utilized by the majority of high schools across Long Island. We researched this program for the past few years. For the benefit of our students, we believe now is the time to move forward with our web based college application effort. The program will be offered to the entire student body next school year.

What is Naviance ? Why is it important? Naviance is an electronic tool allowing students to prepare and send college application materials electronically. Why is it important? Streamline this traditionally labor-intensive process of mailing out paperwork, and maintain proof of document submission for colleges and parents to see. Documents sent to colleges and universities are recorded as receive a providing a verifiable record for future reference.
