Clipping Word Clipping form Meaning Apartado postal Apdo P.O Box Aproximadamente Aprox Aproximately Gobierno Gob Government Clipping is when some parts of a word is taken out, and a new shortened version of the word is formed. It’s a bit different from acronym coz acronym usually only take the front letter of the word while clipping take just a few letters.

Onomatopoeia bee abeja bzzz zumbar cat gato miau maullar cow vaca English Animal Spanish Animal Onomatopoeia Special verb bee abeja bzzz zumbar cat gato miau maullar cow vaca mu, muuu mugir dog perro guau guau, guau ladrar donkey burro iii-aah rebuznar duck pato cuac cuac graznar frog rana cruá cruá, berp, croac croar goat cabra bee bee balar

Borrowing Spanish English Un líder A leader Un rockero A rocker El béicon Bacon Un cámping Camp site Boicoteo Boycott Borrowing is when a language borrows certain words from some other language. Based on what I read, Spanish does not borrow that much words from English, mainly, English is borrowing from Spanish. That’s why when u watch dora u hear so many similar words right such as ‘um numnumnumnum delecioso. Excellente ! And so on. Because they borrow from each other a lot.

Thank you …
