Of Mice And Men-The Great Depression

the American Dream The American Dream means that everyone is equal, no discrimination of class or colour( rich-poor, black-white). Everyone has equal rights, meaning that some people might be entitled to more than others is not allowed. People of all classes and races are equal to one another.

the Wall Street Crash The Wall Street Crash of 1929 (October 1929), also known as the Great Crash, and the Stock Market Crash of 1929, was the most devastating stock market crash in the history of the United States, taking into consideration the full extent and duration of its fallout. The crash signalled the beginning of the 12-year Great Depression that affected all Western industrialized countries and did not end in the United States until after the second World War.

The great depression The Great Depression was a severe worldwide economic depression in the decade preceding World War II. The timing of the Great Depression varied across nations, but in most countries it started in about 1929 and lasted until the late 1930s or early 1940s. It was the longest, most widespread, and deepest depression of the 20th century.

Migrant workers Migrant workers were used for nearly all labour in the 30’s. They would work from early hours to late hours. They would travel across the country and sometimes across the continent to find work. Most migrant workers that are not foreign would have had jobs a few years before, but due to financial and government issues, they have lost their job and have to find work normally on farms or ranch's.
