Deva Point Caretaker– 37 Hours Salary £19,102 plus pension scheme We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Caretaker for Deva Point Extra Care scheme which is situated in Blacon, Chester, to provide a range of caretaking services to ensure the building is kept safe and well maintained. Carrying out minor repairs and maintenance of a DIY nature, of fixtures and fittings and a range of equipment, including but not exclusively in communal areas and gardens. In this role you will need to acquire a thorough working knowledge of all plant, equipment and services in and around the building and carry out routine inspections, servicing and cleaning of this equipment. Taking the lead and being responsive in situations like litter picking, graffiti etc. and cleaning when appropriate, such as light shades, refuse stores, spillages, glass breakages etc. in communal areas. You will have to undertake health and safety checks including lighting, trip hazards, fire alarms and general building maintenance plus ensure adherence to fire safety and fire risk assessments. Our successful candidate must have the necessary skills and experience to undertake minor repairs and maintenance with a good all round knowledge of DIY, ideally skilled in using tools and equipment. You will need basic numeracy and literacy skills and have great communication and customer service skills.
