Turn a pumpkin into something amazing!

Purchase a pumpkin that is about the size of a basketball. These are too big! Need to be able to carry it easily!

Think of your favorite book and design your pumpkin based on your favorite character from that book.

No Carved or Cut Pumpkins No Carved or Cut Pumpkins! Decorate your pumpkin without carving or cutting it by using Glue guns to add the decorations. NO YES

Gather your decorating supplies Gather your decorating supplies. Acrylic paints or permanent markers work best. NOTE: Watercolors tend to run, and spray paint will gradually dissolve the pumpkin. The Dollar store has acrylic paint for $1 - $2 each

You can add materials, like yarn, buttons, wiggly eyes, etc.

Participation is completely voluntary Participation is completely voluntary. This is not a contest but a school-wide team building activity.

Have fun being creative!

Every student participating in this activity will receive a Storybook Pumpkin info sheet with the instructions and a pumpkin page to write about your Storybook Pumpkin character. If you have a book at home with your character in it, please bring it on October 30th or 31st with your pumpkin. See below
