MON Read for 20 minutes Choose a writing prompt from the April writing calendar Read 20 minutes Play a game from the class webpage TUE Math: Addition and Subtraction We will add and subtract within 1,000 using models or drawings and strategies based on place value. We will also explain why addition and subtraction strategies work, using place value and properties of operations. WED Review weekly words (usually, really, since, easy, sometimes) Read for 20 minutes Writing: Personal Narratives We will write personal narratives and focus on small moments when we write. Great writers magnify their small moments by adding details. Science/SS/Health: Life Cycle of an Animal We will identify the life cycle of four common animals (mammal, bird, amphibian, insect).
