The implementation of strategy

Strategy implementation The realisation of strategic plans to operational reality (Things to consider): communication — selling the concepts, Setting up project teams?, identification of team and individual roles, responsibilities and targets, programme of activities (What is going to happen and when) benchmark targets at differing levels of the organisation

Resource allocation: finance, human resources, materials, time

Review and evaluation: An evaluation of the benchmarked outcomes in a given time period of corporate, operational and individual targets (Consider) What was achieved? By Who? Were targets met entirely Any problems and room for future developments

For your presentation: Overview the company (You will probably be able to re-use the work from assignment 1) Which strategy/strategies are being used by your organisation?- make reference to their position in the market and any findings from your SWOT/PESTEL analysis you feel are appropriate, hw does this affect stakeholders (Possible stakeholder analysis)

Evaluate your selection in terms of: Market entry strategies (Which did they use and why?) Is their strategy a Substantive growth strategies: Limited growth strategies: Disinvestment strategies: retrenchment, Evaluate the strategy selection in terms of: possible alternatives, appropriateness, feasibility, desirability

Strategic Implementation • Compare the roles and responsibilities for strategy implementation in your organisation • Identify and evaluate resource requirements for the strategy for your given organisation • What were their targets?, (Benchmarking?) did they experience any problems?
