Landscape Watercolor Painting

Atmospheric Perspective Aerial perspective, also called atmospheric perspective , method of creating the illusion of depth, or recession, in a painting or drawing by modulating color to simulate changes effected by the atmosphere on the colors of things seen at a distance.

Monochromatic(one color) Landscapes Showing Atmospheric Perspective Start with your background Work from the back to the front Light to dark You can draw out your lines with a lighter color or REALLY lightly with a pencil Then gradually paint each part of the landscape a darker color with the darkest color in the front DUE at the end of class

End of Class Clean up your area Put away all your supplies except your brushes(turn those in clean on the way out) Make sure your name in on your painting(not on the tape) If your painting is wet, leave it out to dry, if it’s dry pull the tape up, and turn it in on your way out
