Students earn a 0.5 credit for each class each semester. Additional graduation requirements are listed below. minimum cumulative 2.0 grade point average (GPA) (Athletic/Activity eligibility also requires a 2.0 GPA) minimum of 40 hours of Community Service pass Reading, Writing, Math & Science sections of new Smarter Balance Testing (11th grade) Washington State History requirement Suggest Four in the core subjects which helps to keep the options open

Washington State History Requirement If you were not in BSD in 7th and 8th grade, you need to take the WA State History class. If you came from another district or a private school and took WA State History there, we will need proof to demonstrate that the requirement has been met or you will need to make up WA State History.

New to Bellevue School District in 11th or 12th grade If you came to WA State in the 11th or 12th grade- please check in with your counselor about meeting the state requirement. If you came to WA State and met state requirement for another state, please see your counselor.

Options for completing WA State History Class here at Interlake High School: .5 Credit Pacific Northwest History Social Studies Elective. Bright Space Course: see your counselor for registration instructions. Approved DLD Online Course: see your counselor for information. We can discuss during your Blitz Appointment.

Are you on track to graduate? If you have failed any classes in English, History, Math, or Science and have not replaced the credit, be sure you have a plan in place! Credit Retrieval is available NOW—See your counselor for registration paperwork. Summer School registration is available in the counseling center starting in April. 40 hours of Community Service recorded in X2Vol (accessed through Naviance).

Your Future & 4 year College Rigorous & Balanced schedule Senior year! 4 Years Math and Science Fine art (UC = 1 year of same class) World Language (2-3 years minimum) ACT or SAT Reasoning/SAT subject tests—Sign up and take them NOW! NCAA – register with NCAA eligibility center College visits – use breaks to visit and ask questions. IB/AP courses will prepare you for the rigor of a college curriculum.

Please Choose Carefully Courses will be offered next year only if enough students register this Spring to fill a class. It is very important that you think carefully about your choices now so that the courses you want will be available next year. Once your schedule is built, changing your schedule will happen only under extenuating circumstances.

If you are interested in a 2-period, year-long elective block class visit the new career center (now located in the library) TODAY to register. Ask for Ms. Gamrath. Available at Interlake: Welding (Agnew, Zero and 1st periods) and Horticulture (Lindholm, 6th and 7th periods).

Running Start is a program that allows 11th and 12th grade students to take college courses at community and technical colleges. Running Start students have the unique opportunity to finish their high school diploma while earning college credit. **Important: Full-time Running Start students must be enrolled in a minimum of 15 college credits.

Attend the info meeting at 6:00 pm on March 9th during the Parent University event at IHS. Sign up for the placement testing or submit one of the alternative options for English or math placement. Attend a Running Start orientation meeting at BC. Registration is online.

Your counselor will discuss the pros and cons of running start with you during your Junior Blitz appointment. Your counselor will also go over your graduation plan with you and sign off on your enrollment in Running Start. You will also be required to submit a full schedule request at Interlake in case you decide to not pursue Running Start classes.
