Classroom Rules #1 Rule: RESPECT Take responsibility for your actions If you make a mistake, own up to it. Come to class prepared Have an open mind Turn off your phone and put it in the cell phone holder

Bring to class everyday… LOTS of PENCILS!! Algebra Book Binder – divided into four sections Homework Notes Warm-ups Quizzes/Tests Any other necessary supplies Completed homework Scientific Calculator (TI-30X IIS) A willingness to take risks

Homework Policy You can’t get better at something if you don’t practice You MUST complete your homework in pencil Each term you start with a “100” homework grade. FIVE points will be deducted for each assignment not done. You will need to fill out a “I Don’t Have My Homework” form and turn it into me. If you homework is incomplete you will receive partial credit depending on how much you have completed. You will need to fill out an “Incomplete Homework Assignment” form and turn it into me. Life happens, if you didn’t do your homework, just be honest Not understanding is not an excuse to not do your homework

Grading (points system) Homework (worth 100 points) Start with a grade of 100 and lose 5 points for each assignment not completed May receive partial credit for incomplete homework Quizzes (worth 50 points) Tests (worth 100 points) Mathemagics Pages (depends on concepts) Common Core Warm-ups (randomly given, worth 5 – 10 points) Projects (worth 50 to 100 points depending on the project) Grade is based upon total points

Absences It is YOUR responsibility to get what you missed while you were out Get all the work out of the “While you were out…” folder You must make up the work by the due date listed on the “Make-Up Assignment” form It is important that you complete the work and turn it into me to receive credit
