Yellow Class ASSEMBLY We enjoy assemblies every day. Please join us for Awards Assembly every Friday at 2:55pm! P.E. We will have a P.E. session taught by their class teacher. Our P.E. is : Thursday OUR NEW TOPIC Our topics this half include ‘People in the Past’ and ‘We are Superhuman’. We will look at the lives of Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole and think about how they changed the hospitals that they worked in . We will also look at the life of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and his music. In ‘We are Superhuman’ we will be learning about different parts of our body as well as keeping ourselves fit and strong. HOMEWORK Each week we will provide your child with a homework task related to what we have been focusing on that week in the classroom. Please support your child with homework but please do not do it for them. If you would like some help guiding your child please call in and ask. All homework across the school will be given out on a Friday and needs to be returned by Wednesday READING For the this half term your child will continue to work on 1-1 reading. Please continue to read with your child every day and feel free to write a comment in their home school reading record. If you don’t have time to write a comment please sign the book and say what page your child has read up to. Key Websites Some helpful websites to visit with your child at home are: www.ictgames.com www.phonicsplay.com www.galacticphonics.com R.E/PSHE This term our themes include ‘What did Jesus teach?’ and ‘Christmas-Jesus as a gift from God’
