Different kinds of rice White rice Brown rice Jasmine rice Sticky rice

Descriptions of rice White rice White rice is milled rice that has hadit’s husk, bran, and germ removed. This makes the rice last longer. After milling the rice polished, this gives the rice a bright shiny white appearance.

Descriptions of rice cont. Brown rice Brown rice is rice that has not been milled therefore it is more nutritious than the white rice because the germ is fat, and that spoils easily.

Descriptions of rice cont. Jasmine rice Jasmine rice has a nutty aroma and long grains. The rice can be left in a hulled form and sold as brown rice, or shucked and sold as white rice.

Descriptions of rice cont. Sticky rice Sticky rice (also known as glutinous rice) is a type of rice that is especially sticky when cooked. It is called Glutinous rice because of the glue-like or stickiness of the rice
