MPE – MP Software, main points YETS 2017/2018: Maintenance work on the LHC Post Mortem System to address recent performance issues. The most likely solution will be to unload the server by migrating historic data to a different physical machine (while maintaining it accessible for the analysis tools). This has to be done ahead of the start of HWC, i.e. before the end of January. Validation will be done by doing dry Post Mortem dumps. LS2: New version of PM system replacing the current infrastructure. Possibly this will be joined with the NXCLAS (new Logging system).  The system has to be ready by mid-end 2019 to allow people to efficiently migrate to the new infrastructure and avoid any delay in the start of IST and commissioning activities.  New version of software layer for LHC quench detection. The system has to be ready by mid-end 2019 to allow Reiner and Co to do an early validation of the DYPQ upgrades and prepare the IST tests. Massive migration of FESA classes for BIS, SMP, FMCM,.. to comply with the eradication of FESA 2 announced by CO. Again to be ready for all IST and commissioning tests of the respective equipment. LHC Coordination Meeting, 26/09/2017 MPE-MI, Jan Uythoven
