Group Periodic Table Activity Maximum 5 people per group Each person will pick 2 element groups from the 10 Then each person will pick an element from the element group they have selected Click on the interactive periodic table supplied on the first slide of this presentation to watch and listen to information for the 2 elements you selected.

Next for the 2 elements selected you must provide the following: Requirements Next for the 2 elements selected you must provide the following: Name, Symbol, Atomic Number and Atomic Mass Physical Description Intersting Facts Name origination Element Group Classification Location on the Periodic Table

Requirements continued Atomic Structure Electron Configuration (noble gas or shorthand) Number of Valence electrons 3 Experimental facts, effects, or compounds formed Common Uses Overview of key components for the group 3 interesting facts about the group from the transition metal overview

Class Discussion In your group you will orally share your findings Each group will be expected to orally share the findings for at least 1 type of element with the class during the discussion.
