“All participants will be expected to update course curriculum on the Andes that reflects their learning experience throughout the program, in an effort to teach the Andes in a manner that emphasizes the common good and other relevant themes discussed throughout their travel.”
Overarching Goal: There isn’t a current comprehensive repository or central, online location where teachers can go for resources on Teaching the Andes. We would like to create that.
Why? We will be taking your experience abroad and expanding it to further impact to those who do not have that opportunity.
The Multiplying Effect If each person reaches 50 people, this program will impact 600. If documents are disseminated online, the impact will increase more rapidly (1,500 hits per month without active publicity).
What resources exist: A number of small sites with a handful of resources (a PPT here, a lesson plan there) Some resources supported by universities specifically for their own stakeholders Some larger initiatives have started…
