DCS DCS will perform the ‘usual’ maintenance on the first day (Mon 03.07) of the technical stop (performing WinCC backup, restart of systems etc.) However, this time we will need to add on a few additional activities that cannot be avoided: Urgent windows patches (to protect against the recent virus attacks) Installation of a local DNS (to mitigate the impact of a CERN DCS outage as we suffered on 18.06) Put the new fileserver in production (new HW, more robust) Some of these additional will take some time (e.g. windows patches), therefore the total time required will be in the order of 8 hours. Due to this DCS will be unavailable from 09:00 to 17:00, as already announced to the DCS experts earlier this week. As always we strongly suggest to do, towards the end of the TS, a test of all common operational procedures: safe-supersafe-ready-safe cycle, simulated handshake, validation of configuration procedures and test the magnet-safe and restore-from-magnet-safe procedures.

Inspect existing IROC. Install hardware for IROC Mon/Tue: replace RCU2 card if necessary (firmware update), check netgear switches, measure some distances in TPC SSWs. TS1 preparatory meeting Detector activities 2/2 AD: See how to move the HV cables away from power lines The HV cables needs to be shortened to remove the excess and the connectors will be replaced in CR4. Finally we need to do a light test in both A and C sides. The lights needs to be turned off in the miniframe (A- side) and the tunnel (C-Side) PHOS: Refill cooling plant with C6F14 MCH: FRT, LVPS change Change a FRT card for Ch3 of Stn2 in FASS Change an LVPS below the dipole floor MTG: Check HV cable, need nacelle I-side (Monday 10:00).
