Perspectives from Outside Regarding intra-Asia connectivity, the linkage will also be set at 45 Mbps, and will establish direct linkages between Korea, on the one hand, and Japan, China and an ASEM partner from South-East Asia respectively, on the other. An ASEM partner from South-East will serve as a hub for the ASEAN members of ASEM. The EC has indicated its readiness to consider funding the linkages involving the developing ASEM partners.
