Hungry Caterpillar Balloon Chain How does this work?

Induced Charge Balloon has gained additional negative charges. As you bring it near to the neutral wall the electrons in the wall are pushed away from their atoms. This creates a very thin positively charged layer on the surface of the wall The positive charge attracts the negative charge keeping the balloon in place. Voila! Wall

Vigorously rub one of the strips with the cloth then bring it near to the pieces of paper Vigorously rub a second strip then bring it close to one end of the first strip EXT: Put the strip close running water – what happens?
