SSS TRiO Grant Final Report Update (FY 2015-2016) (Granting Period: September 1, 2011 – August 31, 2016) By Donald Essex Director/Counselor, Special Programs & Services

Funding Agency: Department of Education Funding Amount: FY 2015-2016 $292,340.00 Number of Participants Served Annually: 125 Population Served: 100% Students with a disability in Special Programs & Services and 1/3% of whom are also classified as low-income

Academic Eligibility 2.4 or below grade point average (GPA) Specific problems in English or Math English as a second language challenges College probation Low placement scores

OBJECTIVES 2-Year Institutions   Persistence Rate: 70 % of all participants served in the reporting year by the SSS project will persist from one academic year to the beginning of the next academic year or earn an associate’s degree or certificate at the applicant institution and/or transfer from a 2-year to a 4-year institution by the fall term of the next academic year. Good Academic Standing Rate: 82% of all enrolled SSS participants served will meet the performance level required to stay in good academic standing at the applicant institution. Graduation and or Transfer Rates 5% of new participants served each year will graduate from the applicant institution with an associate’s degree or certificate within four (4) years; 5% of new participants served each year will receive an associate’s degree or certificate from the applicant institution and transfer to a four-year institution within four (4) years.
