Bellwork Periods 3 & 4 Monday, November 21, 2016 While I am returning speeches, please finish up your first paragraph about the chapter in the packet from The Glass Castle. If you are finished with the paragraph, read the chapter from Me Talk Pretty One Day. New writing prompts: 1. Sedaris is very sarcastic, but almost everyone can find humor in his writing. What did you find the most humorous about his description of his French class? 2. If you have ever taken a language class, how was/is it similar to Sedaris’ experience and how was/is it different? 3. Where does the author’s joy come from at the end of the chapter? Be sure to cite textual evidence in your response.
