What is Geography? Geography is a science that deals with Earth’s surface. Geographers are interested in Earth’s physical features, such as mountains, deserts, rivers, and oceans. They are also interested in the ways that people affect and are affected by the natural world.

5 Themes of Geography Review The World in Spatial Terms- Where things are located Places and Regions- land, weather, and the plants and animals of the area Physical Systems- Earthquakes, Volcanos, Glaciers, things that shape the earth’s surface Environment and Society- How people change their environment Uses of Geography- the relationships among people, places and environments.
