Introducing Roseberry’s Digital Leaders Our aim is to keep you safe online!

Who are digital leaders? Why be a digital leader?

I want to help others understand how important E-Safety is. Erin Bell I care about keeping people safe online. Keyaan Rameezdeen I am enthusiastic about computing and E-Safety. Kimberley Winship Hughes I want to help younger children know how to use apps and websites safely. Elise Fisher I want to talk to people and make them aware of the dangers on the Internet. Amelia Farrow I want to make sure no one is being cyber-bullied. Imogen Welford I need to be aware of what to look out for when online to make sure I’m safe. Evie Bell

I am willing to talk to children in other schools. Maisie Morgan I will listen to the suggestions of others and make children feel comfortable. Paige Carman I want children to learn about unseen dangers George Allport I want to be challenged and to have the responsibility of keeping children safe. Imogen Murray I have a good knowledge of computers and E-Safety. Alicia Daley I think people using social media should know to keep their account private. Tilly Bardgett-Lee I am kind, not bossy and not controlling. Amy Hartley I want to educate others in how to use ‘tech’ safely. Faye Bellwood I have a strong opinion and think being a Digital Leader will boost my confidence. Jennifer Moody

Our first job as Digital Leaders

Stay Safe Online - The Lyrics When you post online, the world can see with prying eyes Where you are and what you do, then they think that they know you Be careful what you share; what you upload can stay up there Don’t take risks or talk to strangers, be aware of the dangers Stay safe online - your password’s only for your eyes Stay safe online - watch out for those warning signs and speak out, have no fear, an adult’s there to lend an ear Listen up and follow us as we stay safe online

Stay Safe Online - The Lyrics Be honest and be nice cos’ being mean comes at a price Be careful on Internet so others won’t get too upset Block the user, leave the game if someone asks for your real name Just be brave, don’t reply – tell an adult ‘why, why, why…’ Stay safe online - your password’s only for your eyes Stay safe online - watch out for those warning signs and speak out, have no fear, an adult’s there to lend an ear Listen up and follow us as we stay safe on..

Stay Safe Online - The Lyrics Always check the age limit Don’t waste time, ‘cause it’s a crime To lie about your age! Never say things that you might regret, Be polite, you know it’s right When you use the Internet! Stay safe online - your password’s only for your eyes Stay safe online - watch out for those warning signs and speak out, have no fear, an adult’s there to lend an ear Listen up and follow us as we stay safe online

Stay Safe Online - The Lyrics We stay safe online Just stay safe online Please stay safe online!

Our next job as Digital Leaders…

Action Planning In our first meeting, we worked in small groups to discuss our focus and the tasks we wanted to complete. We have agreed on the following tasks: Make and share a leaflet about E-Safety including advice for children and their parents Write a questionnaire to find out parents’ knowledge and understanding of E-Safety and the apps their children use Write a questionnaire for children to find out what apps they currently use so that we can research them and then provide up to date E-Safety tips and advice (ensuring that children are safe when they use them). Make and give out a half termly quiz To be ‘real teachers’ and teach E-Safety sessions to small groups of younger children Carry out a walk around school to check how E-safety friendly our school is.
