SLSS DECA Pre-Provincials Meeting Preparing for Provincials

Overview Information outlined on form Leaving Thursday 5th at 4:30 p.m. (bus) from school Staying overnight 5th and 6th Missing school Friday, February 6th – talk to teachers Leaving the Sheraton on Saturday 7th at 5 p.m. (bus) Competition and results declared at Provincials Decide if you want to go to Internationals Talk to parents, will confirm by signing form Thursday on the bus $100 penalty if you make it to ICDC and indicate approval, but do not go

What to Pack Pack items in a mini suitcase Cell phone w/ charger, access to the Remind app Will be sending out many messages to members Add exec numbers in case you need to contact us Pen, paper, four-function calculator for role play Pencils/sharpeners/erasers for the exam – to be written on a Scantron Money to buy lunches/dinner Food court in Sheraton, Eaton Centre nearby

What to Pack Full DECA attire (same as Regionals) Evening wear (casual) and night wear Hairbrush, toothbrush, toothpaste, other bathroom accessories Student ID Card with lanyard (will be given on bus) Practice role plays/exams Things to keep busy Make a personal schedule beforehand to know where to go at Provincials. Schedule Thursday, February 5th Friday, February 6th 4:30 p.m. Bus leaves SLSS. Dress casual, bring packed suitcase 6:00 p.m. Approximate arrival at the Sheraton. Rooms will be given to you. After that you may eat, locate competition areas, and rest 10:30 p.m. Curfew in place until 6:00 a.m. Everyone must be in their rooms at this time. Violating curfew will result in penalty points. Friday, February 6th Breakfast bag will be given in the morning. Time and place TBA All oral events and presentations, some exams. 7:10 p.m. Delegation photos, taken in the lower level of the Toronto Hilton. We need to be there by 7 p.m., stay connected via Remind

Schedule Friday, February 6th Saturday, February 7th Dress attire in effect from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dinner will be served at the Sheraton. Exact time and place TBA Curfew at 10:30 p.m. Saturday, February 7th Breakfast bag will be given in the morning. Time and place TBA All three awards ceremonies will take place, with ICDC confirmations 5 p.m. The bus will be outside the Sheraton to pick us up. *Note: you must travel on the bus to/from the Sheraton unless you make arrangements beforehand with Mr. Sousa
