II Gender Seminar Political – Normative perspective Group 2 Day 1 Establish and implement common standards for 100% of personnel (all genders) who choose (or are conscripted ) to defend their nation Promote equal opportunity for full military participation Promote Education through high school as mandatory Develop a educational content against stereotypes so that  boys and girls – learn about inspiration male and female leaders, scientists, etc Maintain women in the armed forces in terms of health and culture so that mainstreaming women is sustainable (medical, childcare, incentive to accommodate family)  Encourage sustainment of the military family/member

II Gender Seminar Strategic Group 2 Day 2 Support inclusive education to incorporate checks and balances with the goal of professionalizing the force; and integrating both genders.  This should be considered a human development strategy to target youth. “School of Peace,” modeled on the UN (OAS implemented), encompassing a focused education that encompasses development and security (CICAD), to function as an oversight body. The aforesaid program should be inclusive and be devoid of the appearance of threatening any countries sovereignty. A program designed to expose young people to the benefits of military service, which installs a degree of discipline and skill building to serve them irrespective of their career path. Employ equal opportunity precepts. NOTE: this does not imply support for conscription. Micro-lending to support the goals referred-to above. The Organization of American States (OAS) to be tasked with implementing the aforementioned proposals and oversight.  Performance goals should be adopted. 

II Gender Seminar Group 2 Day 3 I. Strengthening of inclusivity and equal opportunity in Defense and Security Training Foster compulsory education through completion of high school; Strengthen unbiased gender education content so both girls and boys can be inspired by leaders, scientists, etc; Raise awareness, disseminate and encourage the relevance of serving in the military given new threats; Develop a School, modeled after the UN University of Peace, implemented by the OAS, which covers development and security (like CICAD), and then OAS serves as an oversight body. The aforesaid program should be inclusive and be devoid of the appearance of a threat to the sovereignty of any country; Promote financial support from international organizations as an incentive to countries that strengthen leadership education and training in the Defense and Security sector, based on the country’s own determined outputs.

Promote Infrastructure changes in health and culture, so that mainstreaming gender equality becomes sustainable (medical, childcare, incentives towards family life); Amend legislations, regulations, and code of conduct to provide clear definitions on rules of behavior and ensuing sanctions; Review, develop and implement family friendly legislation and policies to support military family/member wholeness; Promote financial support from international organizations as an incentive to countries that strengthen leadership education and training in the Defense and Security sector, based on the country’s own determined outputs.
