Information on Energy Saving Calculation IEA-DSM TASK XXI: Standardisation of Energy Savings Calculations Information on Energy Saving Calculation Harry Vreuls, NL Agency Workshop: Harmonization in Energy Savings Calculation: How To Fit International Experiences With Korean Practice, Now And In The Near Future Seoul, 21 April 2011

Outline Questions to be answered Task 21 Template for documentation TASK XXI: Standardisation of Energy Savings Calculations Outline Questions to be answered Task 21 Template for documentation

Questions being answered TASK XXI: Standardisation of Energy Savings Calculations Questions being answered Can we define terms in the same way and use the same language? If this is possible then it will be easier to understand energy savings calculations and to simplify international comparison Can we agree on how the different approaches for monitoring and verifications are defined and on the key elements that should be included in each approach?

Questions being answered (2) TASK XXI: Standardisation of Energy Savings Calculations Questions being answered (2) Will it be possible to group baselines needed to calculate energy efficiency improvements in such a way that projects and governmental/utility programmes can be better compared? Once we have all these elements, will it be possible to develop common reporting formats to make the verification process less costly?
