Course Information AP Calculus BC AP Calculus BC is equivalent to taking the first two semesters (three quarters) of college Calculus Topics include limits, derivatives, and integrals of algebraic, trigonometric, transcendental, parametric, polar, and vector functions, as well as series and polynomial approximations Emphasis is placed on communicating understanding of course concepts through clearly written, thoughtful, complete solutions A score of 3, 4, or 5 on the AP exam may earn a student course credit in college (depends on college)
Homework / Study Time Expect homework daily Students need to practice daily Usually won’t take more than 45 minutes Access video lessons at http://www.mrmathblog.com/ Additional video lessons can be freely accessed online through Stanford, Harvard, MIT, and other universities
Tests/Retakes Tests Retakes At the end of each chapter 100% of grade Can earn up to 10% higher with a cap at 89% For those with a score below 59%, they can earn up to a 69% on the retake Retake privilege can be revoked for lack of participation while in class (see syllabus for more information)
Absences Daily assignments, PowerPoints, worksheets, and worksheet answers are posted on my website Students may have as many days as they were absent to complete and turn in their absent work
