Class Rewards System Classroom Money System Individual Student Dollars Class Money Totals Monthly Class Auction Class rewards every $10,000 class money earned Tied in to the Monthly Reading Log Goal determined at the beginning of month

Homework An average of 50 minutes per night No assignment books – Posted on website daily - 20 MINUTES OF READING EVERY NIGHT - Reading Log due at the end of the month - Typically Math HW every night - Test and quiz preparation Thursday Folder signed by Monday Missed assignments will be documented and “missed homework” slip will be sent home for parent signature Missed assignment costs student $20 class money – teacher will give $10 back if completed the next day Four missed assignments in a marking period results in missed auction

Math in Focus Math in Focus is an authentic Singapore Math® curriculum—with problem solving as the center of math learning and concepts taught with a concrete–pictorial–abstract learning progression through real-world, hands-on experiences. Math in Focus®: Singapore Math® by Marshall Cavendish® is the U.S. version of My Pals are Here! Maths, the most highly rated textbook series in Singapore today. The program employs the same curriculum syllabus and pedagogy as the Singapore program, but includes additional resources, differentiated instruction, and technology for U.S. classrooms.
