Prayer Does it really work?
Answers in white from the T3 Bible Study Members… 1. What does prayer mean to you? 2. What does prayer do for you? 3. What does your prayer do for others? Formalized communication with God. We need to remember that God is all around us, but we need to find a direct contact with him. My “pipe-line” and a tool. Without it I wouldn’t have time or the means to build a relationship with God. The cry of my heart and the realization that I need Him. Relieves me and gives peace and clarity. Reminds me of my connection with God. Intentional focus on God. Reminds me that I don’t have it all together and that is ok. Strengthens people. I can stand in the gap for others (who may or may not know how to pray). Gives hope. Lets them feel connected.
Brock Gill: “Prayer Doesn’t Work”
John 14:11-14 Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves. Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.
