Tasks Salesforce has different standards of privileges User Salesforce Accounts Salesforce has different standards of privileges User A User basically has their own account Because of cost restrictions, accounts are limited to those people who need a degree of autonomy – an account holder is designated when a specific person is handling a specific accounts and a large number of dedicated tasks or is in a position of management

Tasks Salesforce has different standards of privileges 2) Partner Salesforce Accounts Salesforce has different standards of privileges 2) Partner A Partner is someone we are working on joint projects with and may have limited access to some salesforce functions A partner can have tasks & Events shared with them and access knowledge articles (solutions) Anyone listed as a contact can have Partner Privileges

Tasks Shared Tasks The relevance in a shared task is that a task for example where accounts department is the account (User), the task will be assigned to the accounts department so by going to the home page you will see a list of all tasks assigned These jobs are to be done (usually in order of importance but certainly by date by whoever is on concierge or task duty

Tasks Shared Tasks Where it is necessary for a specific non Account owner to perform a task The assign account holder remains the same but the shared user will have their name put in the Contact box on the task and the 2 boxes below their name ticked

Tasks Shared Tasks This will put the task to be done on the Employees Contact page under Open Activities The contact page needs to be open at all times and referred to at job intervals, more often for team leaders Shared tasks from SE need to be acted on the same day, if marked urgent (from anyone) - immediately

Tasks Shared Tasks If the User is an account holder – DO NOT put their name on the contact field or share this task Never put a clients name in the contact field Tasks are simply assigned to account holders by putting their name into the Assigned to field

TASKS Task Levels are at 3 levels Performance Task Levels are at 3 levels Only use Urgent if it is urgent – its doubtful any tasks you are undertaking will be urgent

TASKS All tasks should be completed the same day Performance All tasks should be completed the same day – if they cannot be completed make proper notes and take appropriate action by escalating or forward dating the task - If they are completed – make proper notes and perform any required actions or escalations

TASKS Performance Tasks & Task Management can be your best friend and a great resource and source of opportunity for you but if you don’t manage your tasks, someone else will and then they won’t be your friend
