Propaganda

Definition Form of communication that is aimed towards influencing the attitude of the community toward some cause or position by presenting only one side of an argument. Modern phenomenon that emerged from the creation of literate and politically active societies informed by a mass media, where governments increasingly saw the necessity for swaying public opinion in favour of its policies. Propaganda is usually repeated and dispersed over a wide variety of media in order to create the chosen result in audience attitudes.

Propaganda everywhere Common media for transmitting propaganda messages include news reports, government reports, historical revision, junk science, books, leaflets, movies, radio, television, and posters.

Propaganda role Propaganda has been in so many important history moments like: Cold War First World War Second World War Vietnam War Nazi Germany Yugoslav Wars Russian Revolution

LOVE, HATE & PROPAGANDA Love, hate & propaganda it is a website where you can see and realize how much important propaganda was during the past and all its wars. Propaganda influenced significant moments in history, and the lives of the people who lived through them. Love, Hate and Propaganda aims to tell the story of the world we live in to a media savvy generation.

Examples A good example of propaganda is Hugo Chavez TV show. He was the president of Venezuela, creating a TV show where he spoke to the people and he said all his thoughts. As propaganda, it was that TV show. He was letting the people Know him and doing propaganda for himself. With that, the people would vote for him the next elections.

Coca-Cola This is a company that use so many techniques as propaganda. They have commercials (using famous people), in TV and movie theatres before de movies start. Posters, there are so many posters everywhere about the product, and other thing that help it a lot is that, it always helps good causes, like white bears etc. Modern, its propaganda it has relationship with something that is actually happen. If it is Christmas, world cups, etc.

What do I think? I think propaganda it is really important in every marketing company, because with out it, the product wouldn’t be successfully sold, and the companies wouldn’t have popularity nor success. So propaganda it is a key factor in the marketing concept.
