Blended Learning Blended learning is an educational model that incorporates traditional classroom instruction with digital technology.

Our Journey… Administrative team visited both PBL and Summit Learning schools GCMS math teachers participated in Project-based learning (PBL) grant through OVEC with Mrs. Peterson

Blended learning What it is and isn’t.. What it isn’t.. What it is.. Students sitting at computer all day Students using computers as a resource for learning What it is.. What it isn’t.. Teacher led classrooms based on individual and/or group needs Students learning on their own

Blended Learning Myth or Fact? Blended learning is only for gifted and advanced students Blended learning is for all types of learners Myth.. Fact… Students receive more personalized learning from teachers Students work in isolation

What does this look like at GCMS? One sixth grade team and one seventh grade team One shared special education teacher Students will still receive the regular Humanities rotation Each student will be assigned a Chromebook computer Summit Learning platform will be used as the digital platform
