RL 11-12.3

Every Who down in Whoville liked Christmas a lot. The Grinch up on the mountain did not.

The Grinch hated Christmas. Maybe it was because his heart was two sizes too small.

On Christmas Eve the Grinch looked down At the who’s from his cave, with a sour Grouchy frown.

Every Who was busy hanging Christmas wreaths and stockings.

“Tomorrow is Christmas,” said the Grinch. “It is almost here “Tomorrow is Christmas,” said the Grinch. “It is almost here. I must stop Christmas from coming. I must stop it this year.”

On Christmas morning the Who girls and the Who boys will rush to the Christmas tree to see their toys. Then the Grinch thought, “oh, then all that noise, noise, noise!!!”

Next the young and the old Whos would sit down for a feast Next the young and the old Whos would sit down for a feast. They would eat pudding and roast-beast.

Last they would do something the Grinch hated most of all Last they would do something the Grinch hated most of all. The Whos would stand hand in hand and start singing.

Just then, he had an idea. The Grinch had a wonderful awful idea.

He went right to work. He made a Santa Clause hat and coat He went right to work. He made a Santa Clause hat and coat. “With this I will look just like St. Nick,” he thought.

“I need a reindeer. ” But there were none to be found “I need a reindeer.” But there were none to be found. So, he called his dog Max and tied a big horn on the top of his head.

The Grinch found an old sleigh, and filled it with empty bags and rode down the mountain toward Whoville with his reindeer Max.

The Whos were all sleeping snug in their beds The Whos were all sleeping snug in their beds. Quietly, the Grinch slid down the chimney, a rather tight pinch. But if Santa could do it so could the Grinch.

Around the room the Grinch took every present and every toy Around the room the Grinch took every present and every toy. Then he went to the kitchen and stole the who pudding and roast beaf.

He pushed all the food and presents up the chimney He pushed all the food and presents up the chimney. “And now the Christmas Tree!” he said happily.

Then he heard a noise. It was a little Who named Cindy Lou Then he heard a noise. It was a little Who named Cindy Lou. Cindy Lou looked at the Grinch and asked, “Santa why are you taking the Christmas Tree.”

The Grinch thought of a lie, and he thought it up quick The Grinch thought of a lie, and he thought it up quick. “My little dear, there is a light out on your tree, so I am going to fix it.”

So Cindy Lou went to sleep, and the Grinch went back up the chimney leaving nothing, not even a crumb for a mouse.

The Grinch stole from all the Whos, and when he was done he packed up his sleigh, and left Whoville. The Grinch took the sleigh to the top of Mt. Crumpit where he was ready to dump it.

The Grinch thought, “Now the Whos will find out that Christmas is not coming, and I know what they will do, they will all cry Boo-hoo.”

The Grinch listened to hear the cries from Whoville The Grinch listened to hear the cries from Whoville. He listened, and he listened.

Then he heard a sound over the snow Then he heard a sound over the snow. The sound was not sad, why the sound was merry.

“Maybe,” the Grinch thought, “Christmas doesn’t come from a store “Maybe,” the Grinch thought, “Christmas doesn’t come from a store. Maybe Christmas is something a bit more.”

Well, in Whoville they say the Grinch’s heart grew three sizes that day.

At that minute, the Grinch slide down the mountain and brought back all the Whos toys and the food fro the feast.

The Whos invited the Grinch to stay for the feast.

And he even carved the roast beast.
