Cook’s Corner of Westmore: February 8th-12th Cook’s Corner of Westmore: *In Reading Workshop we continued our Nonfiction Unit. We began talking about Author’s Purpose. *In Writing Workshop we continued our Nonfiction Writing Unit. We are continuing to gather research on our topics for our Informative Essay. *In Math Workshop we finished Chapter 7 “Division Facts and Strategies”. We began talking about how to solve two-step word problems. *In Science we continued Chapter 4 “Plants and Animals Living Together”. *In our Read Aloud we began Stone Fox. Tests Next Week: Tues.-math fact timed test Thurs.-math fact timed test Birthdays No birthdays this week! Please Check Out: *This was our last week to collect research for our Informative Essays. Please ask your child if he/she needs any additional information for his/her topic. We have already used Chromebooks and our library to gather info. but some students still need more resources from our Public Libraries or to gather more information and to print out from home (diagrams, photographs, etc.).
